There’s an ongoing joke in my world that I have a PhD in influencer vetting—and honestly, if one existed, I’d probably teach it.

Vetting isn’t just a checkbox in influencer marketing. It’s the backbone of every successful campaign. It’s what separates seamless, high-impact partnerships from messy, brand-damaging disasters (you know the ones where an influencer’s old tweets resurface after you’ve paid them).

As an influencer marketer,  you already spend hours analyzing engagement and brand fit, but real influencer vetting goes deeper. It’s about understanding the full picture, who aligns with your brand and who could damage it. A single misstep can cost more than a gifted product; it can cost years of credibility.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about who you pay. It’s also about who you gift, who you align with, and who you allow to represent your brand. And that should never be left to chance.

Who I am and why I created this course on influencer vetting

As an influencer marketer with over a decade of experience, I’ve taken everything I’ve learned—the real-life case studies, the hard lessons, and the thousands of influencers I’ve vetted—and turned it into a structured framework for understanding influencer credibility, audience authenticity, and brand alignment.

I built this influencer vetting course because I’ve seen what happens when brands get it right—and when they get it very, very wrong.

The difference between a high-impact, brand-building campaign and a PR disaster often comes down to who you choose to represent you. My goal is to give you the same tools, insights, and methods that I’ve used to help brands make smarter, safer, and more strategic influencer decisions.

If you want to go beyond surface-level vetting and start sourcing influencers with confidence, clarity, and strategy—this course is for you.

Influencer vetting is a casting call to share your brand’s story

Think of it this way: recruiting an influencer is like casting an actor in a movie.

You wouldn’t hire someone just because they can read lines off a script (they’re actors—that’s literally their job).

You’d want to know:

  • What’s their reputation?
  • Do they have the right audience pull?
  • What are they known for?

Would you cast Chris Pratt in a serious period drama? (No offense to Pratt, but let’s be real.)

The same applies to influencer marketing. It’s not just about who looks good on paper—it’s about who fits the role in the bigger picture of your campaign.

When brands skip the vetting process, they risk:

  • Wasted budgets on influencers whose audience doesn’t align with the target consumer.
  • Public backlash from undiscovered past content that conflicts with brand values.
  • Low engagement because the partnership feels forced rather than authentic.
  • Conflicting brand messaging if an influencer has worked with direct competitors or lacks loyalty.

Effective influencer vetting means going beyond vanity metrics and surface-level appeal. It requires a structured, investigative approach that blends qualitative insights, audience analysis, and content review to ensure that every influencer partnership drives real impact.

Inside the Masterclass: the blueprint for smarter influencer vetting

Inside this Masterclass, you’ll find the blueprint for smarter influencer vetting, along with the tools and strategies needed to make confident, informed decisions. This course is designed to take you from guesswork to a structured, foolproof vetting process.

You’ll gain:

  • A step-by-step framework for identifying, analyzing, and selecting the right influencers.
  • Tools to determine brand alignment and ensure values match before outreach.
  • Customizable influencer checklists covering engagement, lifestyle, past content, and audience authenticity.
  • The skills to conduct in-depth research on content history, reputation, and red flags.
  • A relationship-driven approach to influencer outreach and final vetting.
  • Safeguards for contracts and ethical agreements to protect your brand.
  • A crisis-proof plan for handling influencer misalignment—because even the best vetting process needs a backup plan.

Vetting isn’t just about avoiding mistakes; It’s about setting up your influencer marketing for long-term success.

The influencer vetting process will change how you source creators. Forever.
