Educational content became a goldmine that most DJs were sitting on without realizing it. Fans don’t just want to hear your mixes – they want to understand how you make them. But Bastos warns that this freedom comes with new complexities – you’re not just a DJ anymore, you’re a content creator, marketer, business strategist, and community manager all rolled into one.

The future belongs to DJs who can balance artistic integrity with entrepreneurial hustle. It’s not enough to be good behind the decks anymore – you need to be good behind the camera, good with spreadsheets, and good at building genuine connections with people you may never meet in person.
