A designer resume should communicate your experience quickly while giving recruiters a clear route to your work. There is no need to fill every available section if the information does not support the role.
- Name and role: State your name and the type of design position you are applying for.
- Contact details: Add a professional email address, phone number, and general location. A full postal address is rarely needed.
- Portfolio link: Place a direct link near the top of the page so it is easy to locate.
- Professional profile: Write a brief overview of your experience, specialisms, and the type of work you do.
- Work experience: List relevant roles in reverse chronological order. Include results and responsibilities rather than a list of routine tasks.
